Erinvale Golf CourseDesigned by South African golfing champion, Gary Player, Erinvale golf course is indeed very special. The Golf World Cup took place at Erinvale in 1996, when Somerset West got to see the familiar faces of many world class golf players. Erinvale golf course also boasts the magnificent views of both the Helderberg and Hottentots Holland mountains, making it a truly spectacular setting. The first 9 holes are in the valley of the Lourens River, while the second 9 holes go up the slopes of the Helderberg mountain, and come down again.
